luxating patella 2nd opinion As some of you may know, Zoe was diagnosed with luxating patella yesterday and was basically told that there is only one option...surgery. I went to my vet today and he told me that we should not rush to surgery. Since the limping started saturday (2 days ago) he wants to give it 7 days of severe rest to see how the knee is doing. After that then decide if surgery is the way to go. Keep in mind that my baby is 8 months old and just got neutered. I will be consulting a orthopedist on the 16th and hear what he has to say. I'm also demanding the pet store which my boyfriend bought him from to pay for the surgery if needed. I know we shouldn't buy from pet stores but Zoe was a surprise but I since I have him, I LOVE him with all my heart. The store agreed only if I use a certain veterinarian which coincidentally is the one I brought Zoe to on sunday. What do you guys think? IF Zoe heals should I bypass the surgery?
