We had that same thing happen at our Petsmart, I was so upset,
I knew I couldn't go up to the Mom, (she looked like she would chop someones head off kind of Mom) So I went and found someone that worked there and told them their Adoption Center was out of control, and the cats needed to be saved NOW. He just looked at me, ran over and kicked them all out.

I don't know why some parents would let their kids do that, it's so sad.
