Where is this 4 to 7 pound standard?
The standard states..."not to exceed 7 pounds"...I have had many under 4 pounds and they are 100% Yorkie...some are larger then the standard, but reputable breeders do strive to stay within the limits...a few pounds over happens...12/15 is really pushing it..I saw a 23 pounder and she was HUGE!! Did not look much like a Yorkie, but had AKC papers..papers mean nothing unless the breeders behind them are honest.. I can not imagine a purebred at 50..I would love to see it... |
