Default Trim hair on bridge of nose?

I'm so new to yorkies that I feel like I often sound like a moron when I try to explain my question, but here goes!

I've read about people trimming hair around the eyes/nose area to get the ones that poke them in the eyes, obscure vision, etc....

....but that's not really my issue! My concern is that my nine month old yorkie always looks like she's been "crying". Her beard stays wet/crispy, not just from drinking water, but all the way from her inner eyes, and down.

Is this NORMAL for yorkies?! I'm too ignorant to even know. When I look at her, it seems like maybe trimming that hair where her eyes/snout join will help....but maybe not?!

Stop me before I do something stupid!
