Trace was a breeze compare to a not so little girl I know...I think he was trained after a month or so....or at least he was going to the door. That's when I knew he had it. Ramsey goes outside, but she is far too busy to go to the door....even if the door is OPEN....I have caught her (ok, once)...just walking over to the rug and squating....nope, I'm too busy to step outside.
When Trace died...he was literally, completely house trained. You could take him to anyone's house and he wouldn't have an accident. Ramsey can hold it a long time....and sometimes she holds it until we come back inside....she's just too busy.
