I use the little potty pads for inside the house. Everytime she goes on the pad she gets a treat, and everytime she doesn't she gets a firm NO (no yelling or anything like that i feel like that would just traumatize her!). but you can't get mad at them if you don't see them do it, because then they don't know what the heck you're mad about. Plus, I have noticed a pattern. Right before she goes to the bathroom she will sniff around frantically looking for the perfect spot, and then i walk with her to the potty pad and say "go potty" everytime. Now before we go places i take her in say "go potty" and she does it before we leave! But I think the trick was the chicken treat everytime she got it right
