Tiger is really good at peeing on the pad but now that I take him out 3X a day for walks, he practically does all of it outdoors. He does very well with crate training and now he is no longer confined and he has showed tremendous improvement and continue to do so.
When I would come home for lunch and after work, the pad is always dry. He is very good at holding his pee up to 7 or so hours. However, as soon as I let him run around the house, he relieves himself . . .and my guess is that because he is still a puppy and gets very excited, he could not control his bladder during these times. So, I don't take any chances when he is exploring . . . I slap him with a belly band. I figure that eventually he will outgrow this phase when he is older and will eventually cease to pee everytime he gets excited or active. And since there is no trace whatsoever of pee/poop in the rest of my house, he is technically NOT marking (I think!). . . . |
