I tired it when I first moved to NY and had to leave Simon and Hallie alone. I was so panicked about how they would react but really they slept all day. Simon would whine a bit which is why I got it but I never noticed a difference. What really worked for us was time to adjust to the new routine. I paid $28 at Petsmart but I wouldn't do it again.
