Just had to encourage you! We have only had Yorkies and so we thought ALL dogs weren't trustworthy until 1 year old! Someone told us that Yorkies just take longer, said her other dogs were all housebroken in no time. Don't know exactly what to think of that! LOL!! Neither one of our dogs were allowed on the carpet without guarded supervision until about a year old. We were extremely careful to let them out often - we did EVERYTHING! But they still had accidents - and sometimes very often! Now as we wait for our thrid puppy to come home we are prepared to relax and enjoy her!! We're just geared up for the long haul! LOL!!! Enjoy him - he won't be a puppy forever!
