 Just need to vent
I've been debating about whether or not to post this. I'm still so mad at my cousin I can't see straight.
Let me just paint a picture of her. She is one of the most intelligent(book smart) people that I have ever known but, she doesn't have a lick of common sense. Once I tell you what happened I'm sure you will agree with me.
My aunt whom my cousin lives with(mother/daughter) with her 5 children ranging in ages from 4 years - 12 years. She is going through her second divorce and her mom is letting her & her kids live with her. My aunt tells me this way she doesn't have to worry about the kids she knows they are being taking care of.
Anyway, my aunt has 3 poodles one she keeps outside most of the time because he just has never completely potty trained the other two are inside all the time. My ding-bat cousin put out rat poison in her bedroom with her children running around as well as the dogs. I had spoken with my aunt a few times over the last couple of weeks leading up to this and she had told me that one of her dogs had been sick not eating and she had taking him to the vet and they gave him medication not knowing the whole time that this poison had been put out.
Needless to say, one of them died on Mother's day the may grandfather her father died the Monday after from a massive heart attack at 87 years old and then Thursday the day of my grandfather's funeral Alex her other poodle died and my husband and her son-in-law buried him that morning. Now she has had all of these dogs for several years and for a long time it was just her and her dogs at her house so these dogs are just like her children as we all know they can be. Anyway one of my other cousins her sister called her on her cell phone and left her a nasty message I'm not sure exactly what was said I didn't ask her. The cousin that put out the poison never said a word. I hate to think that maybe she did this on purpose because, she was always complaining about my aunt's dogs. I have mentioned to my aunt several times that Abby doesn't realize who's house she lives in pays no rent and has a free babysitter.
I was talking to my aunt a few days after we got home from the funeral. She had taking Addison in the other poodle and had given him a bath and was clipping on him outside when I hear Abby come up and immediately say you can't bring him in the house he will pee on everything I once again told my aunt that she has forgotten where she is living and that Amy the daughter that left the nasty message had told me that she hopes Addison pees on everything she has. Peggy just laughed and see me too.
I know they had words over this I'm not sure what was said I didn't ask.
Now for the good news. I talked to my aunt over the weekend and she bought herself a chocolate poodle a few months old and of course she is now in hog heaven. I'm sure that she told Abby in no uncertain terms that it better never happen again. Forget about dogs being in the house I'm more concerned about her children.
Sorry this was so long. I just had a little venting to do. If you knew Abby you would know that this does and doesn't surprise us.
