It doesn't sound right for a puppy that young, but I am glad he's being seen by a vet. Just tell them to make sure they give Nutrical or Nutristat to help him out since he's not eating well. I'm assuming the vet ran the appropriate tests, but they could always get another opinion or go back for a followup, if the treatment prescribed is not helping. I would want a blood test and urine test ran to see if anything looks suspicious there, definitely more than a visual examination.
