I must say that incisioin looks a bit painful. All I could see at Topher's wound site was two little stitches...that's the only way I could tell he had surgery. There was no bruising at all.

After a couple of days I did notice a minute discharge so the vet gave us an antibiotic just to be on the safe side...also he was given pain med immediately following surgery. He was bouncing around like normal after about 6-8 hours. He was more careful, I could tell, when playing, but that only seemed to last for a day or so.

There's no harm in having the vet check for infection, just to be on the safe side. It does sound like he's having pain so that does concern me.
