If the gland is not expressed, fecal matter will start collecting again. This is why the dog scoots it's butt on the ground. IT ITCHES!!! What we've done in the past is everytime they go to the groomers, they get their gland expressed. With Angel, maybe they squeezed her too hard.

Our groomer does it while she's showering them. Because it is fecal matter, it stinks. It's like goop coming out of their butts. Pretty gross!

Biddy gets hers done whenever she goes to the groomer too. Tucker has never has his done - I think he might be too little?? He's 4 1/2 months and 2 1/2 pounds...
