I have a 1-year-old Shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie) named Ruby who is 15 lbs ...the "guidelines for Yorkie weight is 3-7 lbs, and for Shih Tzus it is 9-16 lbs...so she is barely in that range...we were looking for something smaller (we always babysit my in-laws' Yorkie, Scrappy, he is 10 lbs, fat...he should be 8 lbs) but fell in love with Ruby...now, we like that she is bigger because we can play rougher with her (She LOVES it) and she is just small enough to sit in our laps
We still love our Scrappy, of course...
