Out of the blue a few weeks ago my vet said - no matter how friendly a large dog seems do not let her down with them.. That being said I believe I have insulted some people at the park when I have picked up Punkin when their big dogs come charging over. They holler over don't worry he/she is very friendly/gentle and when I don't put her down they look at me like they are insulted.

This is a good reminder that no matter how insulted they may be -I really need to protect my furbaby.

Yes I do realize not all big dog will do this, but I don't trust any big dog near my Gus with good reason! They can be the most sweetest dog in the world but I am not willing on taking a chance. This German Shepherd seen Gus from across the street and ran and scooped him up before anyone could do anything. I take Gus everywhere with me but he is never put on the ground. He is either in his bag or in my arms. and when he does get down to go potty in public, I have his leach on and I'm on the look out at all times!
