This is the first time I have posted anything in the Forum, but I have been a reader and I have gotten alot of great info from everyone. I have a darling little Yorkie (Lucy) that is 3pounds 2 ounces. She is 1 year old. I gave her the bully stick, after reading about how much everyone loved them. We unfortunately, did not have a good experience. She did love the bully stick, I could see her pulling the stringy meat between her teeth, but I did not think anything of it. I did not know that the stringy meat on the stick was balling up in her stomach. A couple of days later she stopped eating and did not want to walk much, I know now that she felt too uncomfortable. She was much better after a diarrhea session that looked like strings and blood. I almost rushed her to emergency but she quickly became herself again, happy, playing, no lethargy. I believe however, that the red was only the coloring from the meat because it did not happen again in the next bowel movement and she is bright and cheery. She did not even eat a whole stick, but perhaps her small size has something to do with it.
