I just had my Toby neutered last Monday. He was sleepy for
a for hours after he came home but was chasing bugs again
by the end of the night. The area did swell a little but it didn't
seem to bother him at all, but I did buy pain meds just in
case as they were an add on option. I have never used an
e-collar on any of my kids when they have gotten neutered.
It just isn't really necessary unless they bother them badly
and neither of mine did.
