Starsky was like this too. In out In out. We got a doggie door and had to have it installed through the house. Our door wouldn't work for it. (we have atrium doors with glass windows) My husband built the stairs to the outside. Starsky loves it and had no problem learning how to use it. My beagle on the other hand won't use it. I got it big enough to fit him. I guess you CAN'T teach old dogs new tricks. At least he doesn't go out 50 times a day. Best purchase we ever got!
