I've read about certain "stances" and "tricks" to dealing with the dogs that are more prone to aggression. It might be worthwhile you looking into that to help in the case of an emergency.
Thankyou. I have trained Badger to 'break' when he's walking because apparently a dog straining at the leash is a sign of aggression for other dogs. The problem I've got is less aggressive dogs than irresponsible owners. Bulls are known to have a very high chase and kill instinct and although it's against the law to have a dog out of control round here, a lot of people still persist in walking them offleash and without a collar. That's really my biggest problem and my greatest fear is watching my 3 pound Yorkie being mauled to death in front of my eyes
