a dogs ears and stomach or any part of their body where there is less hair is usually going to feel warmer to you because a humans body temp is 98 degrees and a dogs is 101.5 normally. so your dog is naturally going to fee warmer to you. a thermometer is your best bet for catching a fever, but pale gums and lethergy are also signs of a possible fever.
