I peak at him. He doesn't go to the bathroom most of the time he is out there by himself. He is just playing, trying to catch ducks, bunnys, birds, chew on mulch, sticks, rocks (he is VERY curious). But if I go out with him he usually will go on comand (sort of). I think he prefers that I be out there with him, but I don't want him to be this way. I want him trained to go out by himself. There is no reason not to. We have a safe tall fenced in yard, locked from the inside & no holes in the fence for escape.

I am really, really tired of this game!! Our other dog only goes outside about 3 times a day. I am not sure if the "doggie door" is affordable, but I will look into it.
