My daughter brought home a kitten a few years ago that a friend had given her. We usually keep our cats outside (we live on a farm) but decided to make this one a house cat. I noticed that she had a spot on her leg that didn't have any hair but didn't think any thing about it. I figured that it would grow in soon. Well, I don't remember how long it was, maybe a couple of weeks, my daughter showed me a spot that itched on her arm. I knew immediately that it was ringworm. Before it was over she had spots all over her neck, her face, her arms, her belly, and her legs!!! And all of this was during school. I was afraid that the school would make her stay home until she got over it so we put bandaids ALL over her to cover them up. I told her to tell anyone who asked that she had a skin rash (not lying). It ended up that I, my husband, another daughter, and a couple of grand daughters all got it before we finally got rid of it. I spent a lot of time washing sheets and bedding. I got a shampoo from the vet to wash the cat in and used athlete's foot medicine on our spots to get rid of it. Good luck!!!!
