Works really well!! I am into antiques and the way you know if vaseline glass is old is to use a black light. So, I have several around and use them to check the carpet. I find other things I cant see in the light also. My daughter has evedently marked on her carpet with a yellow marker because it shows up and so does Kool Aid spills.
