My Kitty is significantly older than my yorks. She's nine! She's always ruled the roost. Dougal, being a middle of the pack kind of dog, just always accepted that Kitty was boss.

Before we got Dixie, Kitty used to play with Dougal. She'd run up behind him tap his bum on the way passed with her paw then flip on to her back with a "let's wrestle!" look on her face.

Dixie tries it on with Kitty a lot more often and has received a few clouts around the earhole when she pushed it just a bit too far.

Kitty never goes for the yorkie babies' eyes. If she's had enough (and it takes quite a bit) she'll smack them on top of the head with claws out just a little bit.

Maybe your new kitty just needs some time to relax into his / her new surroundings. Cats take a while to get settled. I'd let leave the animals to sort it out if they start fighting. Once the cat lands a few telling blows your yorkie will keep her distance!
