We have the same problem with Mitzi. She is very friendly with people, or at least polite but watch out when another dog comes along! The funny thing is that when I pick her up to prevent her to bite the other dogs nose (sorry, but she is that mean!) the other dog owner always says: " Don't worry, my dog is friendly!" And I have to answer: "I'm sure of that but this little Yorkshire Terror isn't." And everybody laughs. But you are right, we know how she is and we won't let her get near another dog. Some people are just strange and unconsiderate.
