Default I so appreciate all of you...

It's a hard hard day for me. I still haven't gotten to tell my almost 16 year old daughter, who spent the night at a friend's. It will devastate her. She took care of Joey as much as I did and treated him with angel hands. She's been massaging his legs in hopes of helping him to walk again. It tears me apart that I have to break her heart. We also just lost a dear horse tragically...not even a month ago. We just walked out to feed in the morning and she was standing in her stall with a severely broken leg...so bad the vet said there was no way she could ever walk again.

I'm struggling with feeling guilty that I just didn't do enough to protect Joey, but everyone keeps saying not to do that. It's SO HARD though, to not put the blame on myself. My family and I love our pets so much, they are part of the family... every loss is taken hard. But we can't imagine our lives without them. Thanks for all the thoughts and especially your prayers. God is the only one who will be able to heal my heart and help me to remember all the wonderful memories.
