I even suggested that too. She could leave him in the kitchen. She has an old house so there is a door that she can shut that goes into the dining room and there is also a door leading to the foyer. So she would only need a small gate to block off the den. Her problem with that is that he jumps the fence. So that is when I sugessted a crate. Oh well. I tried to help I guess I can't do much more than that. I agree with you tho.Next time it could kill him and that would be worse than putting him in a crate.
