I was going to start a thread about hand signals but you beat me to it. I was wondering how many people use hand signals?? I use to teach my classes all hand signals but other than that I did not see to many people using them. My dogs know hand signals as well as verbal commands. Hand signals are really great especially for deaf dogs because they are so much easier to understand and not get them mixed up because their is a different hand signal for each command. They know sit, stay, way, come, down, stand, heel, finish, roll over, and many more. I highly recommend hand signals, it is a great way to get your dog to pay attention and excellent way to teach a puppy his first commands because they pick up quicker on it.
