Hi,

Our new Yorkie, Jaxon, is almost 4 months old and recently we noticed his bones will crack in his hind legs (knee joint) when he gets up after lying down for a while. It would be similar to the creaks and cracks we all experience when getting up first thing in the morning. It's not loud cracking (more like clicking), and it's not constant. However, it does occur quite frequently and not just first thing in the morning.

I asked the vet about this and was told that it is probably nothing to worry about considering it doesn't seem to cause any pain or anything. She did say that it might be an indication that he may get arthritis when he's older.

Has anyone else's Yorkie experienced this? If so, did it go away or did it lead to bigger problems later in life?
