My 6 month old Oliver knows a buncha tricks- but he seems to get the confused a lot- EX: "spin" and "sit" to me, they sound similar, so I'm sure that's why he's confused! When I ask him to to a trink sometimes he just goes through them all till he gets the right one. He's a NUT-
anyways... about 20 minutes I ago *DING* i had a lightbulb!! I taught him hand signals for all his tricks.
My reasoning: he already knew spinning finger meant spin- and that's thet rick he does 100% for the time. So i gave him signals for laydown, sit, rollover and paw. It's amazing. in 20 he knows them all by signal. and he does the one i ask for without hesitation.
If anyone else has a confused pup maybe give this a try!!!
