I've been struggling with this with Punkin. The vet said beef bones are excellent for her teeth and that she should have a big one so that she can't choke on it. The problem I have is that she says it needs to be raw
I'm a huge germ freak and can't imagine letting her tote a raw bone around the house. I recently read that you can boil a beef bone for 30 seconds and it won't soften it - but I'm not sure I want to take that chance.
