I can't stop thinking about it - we seem to be more convinced that it's something that happened at the groomers. The vet told us to wash it gently and dry before putting the cream in it. While I was wiping it, the skin in the middle loosened and is starting to fall off and there is just normal skin underneath.
The vet made the determination that it was not ringworm because the spot still has hair growing in it and apparently in ringworm that does not happen.
It's a catch 22 - I don't want her to have a fungus or something that's impossible to get rid of, but I certainly don't want to think that she got hurt at the groomer's.
She was not herself when we brought her home yesterday - too quiet and no tail wagging. Last night she seemed to come around more and today she's all back to normal.
It's all sooo weird!
