My guys wear collars in the house but only to have a place to attach their tags. I stressed about it a lot when I got my first and even looked into those break-away cat collars that unsnap when they get caught on something. I finally decided it was more important to have a tag on him if he got out. You just can't predict when that's going to happen.

I use a harness for leash walks, though.
