We are considering the Orlando area we have friends there and I want to get an idea of what it's like from other people as well. Can anyone tell me a little more about the area. I.E. traffic, how often you are threatened by a Hurricane (major concern for me, but my fiance' not so much he is a tough guy), also tell me about Yorkie groups there etc. Thanks in advance I want to be as educated as possible before making the move.
I don't live there...but my son has been down there for 3 years...the traffic is congested...but probably not compared to DC....my son avoids downtown because of the traffic..and of course the area where the amusement parks are have a lot of traffic. As far as hurricanes...summer of 2004 they had 3 that came in on one coast and exited the state on the other cost and crossed over Orlando. But that is very unusual to have that many.

If you like heat you are definitely going to the right place!!
