NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO! Get the heating pad off, tht is the worst thing you can do! (Retired x-ray tech and medical assistant talking here). Wrap the ice so that it doesn't feel too cold. Don't use the yorkie towel that everyone but me has! Keep it elevated. Bones do not go sideways without extreme pain. If you are not dying, it's not moved sideways. Probably a bump from hurting it. The heating pad will draw extra blood to the area and make the bump throb!
Geez, I go to lunch for one hour and I have 3 pages to read.
BTW considering I am the first one with a REAL full time job on that list of posters, I'm pretty proud of myself. I too could be in the 8 to 9 hundreds if I didn't have a boss!
