My ratter loves to be mouthy when he plays, he doesn't bite, he just bares his teeth (doesn't growl) and opens his mouth. Most dogs respond the same way and they make the funniest sneezing, snorting, huffing noises. Sometimes their teeth clack together, and the nosie turns my stomach, but other than that it's just really cute.
