My sister is an HR manager. I called her and she said that as long as someone is doing your job now, it is illeagal to say it was eliminated and you do have a case. They can fire you and say your position was eliminated, but they can not have anyone (including a temp) in that position after you leave. As for the computer, it is company property and they can do whatever they want with that. They can even read your email, or anything else you have stored on that computer. Hopefully your lawyer will be able to build a case for the elimination of the job, though. Good luck! |
