I was a kennel supervisor for more than 3 yrs at a Human Society. Mistakes happen the people who work there are only human. I speak from experience. When you put down over 25 dogs and puppies not counting cats and kittens you do not double check a litter of puppies. You double check ID# and such but it is really easy to make a mistake when shelters are so full. When I worked there it seemed like some days you went threw the motions without being there. It is always sad when things like this happen but people can not fault the shelter or the people. We live in a sad world were so much innocent life is destroyed everyday (and I am not talking just about animals).
