The fee for removing the limitations is $25.00. You should be able to call AKC 919-233-9767 to see if they have received the request. Have your dog's papers available so you can give them the dam's AKC registration number to check on. You also need to discuss with her if she is going to limit registration on the puppy's so you can let prospective owners know what type of registration they will have (full or limited).
She might expect you to drag them all down there, but she also might be willing to choose by pictures and weight. The time frame she has to choose in should have been agreed to before the mating. Since nothing was said she will probably want to wait as late as possible. Hopefully, she is easy to work with. Tell her that you and your sister want to keep a puppy and don't want to become attached to the one she wants and see if you can get her to make a decision as soon as possible. |
