Love

Oliver did a bt of that...
here's our story. We live in a two story townhouse and he is 100% litterbox trained. BUT For about a week last month he would go poop on the stairs. I have NO CLUE WHY! He has been potty trained since about 3 months old. (he is a quick learner and i stick to my guns about training) so i had NO IDEA why all the sudden he had this interest in pooping on the stairs. I just got in the habir of running to the bottom on the stairs if he started going up. I never caught him in the acta nd after a couple days of me watching him and praising him when he ran all the way upstairs to potty he was back to nomal. We haven't had a single accident since-- sooo... I guess sometimes they just need to be shown their boundries. I was trying to get away with laziness (not wanting to take a longer break from playing I guess) and I just had to watch him and let him know that was a bad idea! hehe.
These dogs are smart. It just comes down to YOU and going backwards in your training. a little less freedom for a couple of days/week whatever until your beautiful baby catches on again.
BTW I LOVE your avatar about would LOVE to see an updated picture of LoLa. I think she is gorgeous!
