Smile Annika's first Home Photos

Well, here's pictures of my little bundle of joy! She is 12 weeks old last Sunday and weighs 2 lbs and 3 oz. Her ears are standing except I guess when she is in a lazy mode such as the ones I took - probably as she was very tired!

The trip went very well . . . with just a couple of throw-ups as expected (so we were prepared). As soon as we arrived Tiger was waiting. They seem to bond very well immediately and Tiger was the perfect gentleman and was very gentle with her.

She adapted instantly to her new surrounding (crate/pen) and knew where the pad was and what to do with it. So far, since she arrived not a mess out of the pad and always right on target. She loves her day bed and went straight in there to doze off while I took Tiger for our usual walk around the block.

First night too was definitely a breeze and she slepted practically the whole night, with just one whimper so I took her to the pad but nothing came out so took her back in her crate and she slept through the morning . . . no mess, no fuss. It must have been quite a long day for her.

Second night was totally different as she whined and whined and whined as soon as I got her into the crate . . .so I decided to take her to bed. Since Tiger's spot suddenly got "invaded", he did not make a fuss and moved right in the middle (between me and DH), got situated and snuggled and doze off. Annika too decided that the "new arrangement" was perfect so she slept all through the night, without soiling the sheets. Last night turned out to be the same so it looks like it is going to be a permanent sleeping arrangement for the 4 of us! I was hoping to leave her in her crate for about 2 weeks until I know for sure how she is doing (bladder control) and until I can get more meat in her bones, but it looks like that ain't happening! Good thing I am a light sleeper . . . so I think between me and a huge pillow on the other side, she is well protected and safe.

I will be sharing better pictures in the next few days . . .
