I had a basset hound once, and she howled and howled no matter weather she was in her crate or in a bathroom Etc! I even went as far as puttingher crate in the garage I still heard her LOL! I LOVE my sleep and could not stand it. I tryed obedience training and just lettingher cry it out nothing worked, sad to say we rehomed her. But MOST dogs will get use to there crate or room after a while its like having a baby at first they may be scared or not happy with there crib so they cry. But if you don't give in they will learn not to whine. I would'nt move the crate around to diffrent locations, pick one spot and keep it there no matter what, otherwise you will confuse him and he will be getting attention everytime you come to him.
As for this weekend you amy want to leave him with someone or kennel him, you don't want to have a lousy weekend and upset the rest of your family with a dog that won't let them sleep. Good lUck! |
