They slowly grow on them. My husband liked Lex but made it clear that it was our responsibility when we got him. He warmed up fast. He has been suprised at the amount of energy that this small dog contains and how much fun he is to have around. I am now getting him to the point of walking him for me. Believe me that was totally unexpected. My husband is embarrassed to walk a not so manly dog...lol. We have another small dog in the past (I had a shih tzu) and he refused to walk him....Lex has won him over...lol.
