[Yorkease]

I missed the Jackson Show. I wish I had went. I am interested in Showing but not ever having shown a dog before, I don't want to jump into something I know nothing about. DH and I are planing on attending a few in the next couple of months. There's a lady in GA that shows Maltese and is willing to take the time to talk to me about showing. I have been on the Internet researching shows for the last 4 days, and my arm hurts from sitting here so long. I have so many websites to go back and read...I don't know where I'll get the time. LOL.

I am starting to understand the point systems a little better now too.

I too have to find a new puppy because mine are not registered with AKC.

I also want to learn about handling someday but I think I will hire a professional first. They know the ring better and what the judges are looking for.

I am also looking for books on showing and handling. Whew! I have a long way to go.

If you don't mind me asking...How long have you been out of showing? Did you just need a break for awhile? Is showing as addictive as the Yokies themselves?
