Is the material you use actual ribbon like you buy in Hobby Lobby? Is it strong enough to use on a 12 lb. boy?I told you he is big but I think of it as more to love !! I get my new baby girl "Sammi " June 2nd. She weighs 1 lb. 6 oz as of yesterday. Do the
harnesses adjust to weight change in small amounts? I love the gold "ribbon"it has a rich look that would compliment their coats. I would like to see some of them ,if you have a web page or can e-mail me some pictures I would appreciate it very much. Thanks
I understand and appreciate your concern for your new baby. And I admire you for speaking to the breeder and trying to do the very best for your little one. In no way do I want to contradict what she has told you or cause any confusion, however I have found that unlike the harsh ribbon and webbing, and even 100% cotton, SILK does NOT damage the delicate hair. And for the safety of the delicate throat area, they do not even come close to touching the neck. Several of our dear YT friends have purchased these harnesses and have been kind enough to post pics of their babies wearing them.

I do not take any shortcuts when making my harnesses -- all of my harnesses are made from high quality 100% Dupioni Silk fabric, not ribbon. I have been making and using silk harnesses for well over a year. In fact, I designed my harnesses because I was not satisfied with the ribbon/webbing harnesses I was using. I have one yorkie with a cottony coat that matts very badly and another one with very fragile silky hair -- both in full coat -- and have had GREAT RESULTS. NO more matts from harnesses and NO more broken hair!

I have silk in a rainbow assortment of colors, and I am adding new colors as I get requests. I have a two shades of "gold" in stock -- one is a rich iridiscent gold and the other piece is antique gold. I build in as much adjustment as possible -- each and every harness is made with that in mind.

My website is under construction and the sales page is not yet functional.... I would be more than happy to photograph the harnesses and colors available and email them to you.
