The ONLY way you can have them not chew what you don't want them to chew is keep it out of their reach. Think about it like "baby proofing". You wouldn't leave stuff on the floor you wouldn't want a new crawler to get ahold of, would you?
Also, provide them with chew toys and treats that they love love love, and they may leave your stuff alone.

yep, everytime I see her chewing on something, I tell her no maam, then I tell her to go get a toy and strange thing is, she does quit and go get a toy most of the time. she does know what the word toy means cause I tell her all time when she is on my heels to get a toy and play and she runs off and grabs a toy. But its kinda hard to take up all my big rugs and I wont. I'll just have to keep an eye on her until she learns its a big no no. she has 2 nyla bones, plenty of treats and toys but she always hides her nyla bones. she will maybe chew them a few minutes then she picks them up, looks around to see if Im watching and I play like i'm not. then she easily goes to the end of the sofa and lays it there or sometimes under the foot pedals of the piano, sometimes I really dont see where and I have no idea where she puts them but they will eventually turn up again. she also hides some of her raw hide chewies.
