Bordetella vaccine come in two forms the shot and the intra-nasal. It should be done every six months if you board, groom, use doggie day care, any place where there is a quantity of animals like parks and dog shows. There are several different Bordetella strains and some times the vaccines won't prevent it as well giving the vaccination can bring on kennel cough. IMHO its a catch 22!
