There's nothing like a solid 6 /7 pounder to turn your head. That sounds so small, but compared to 3 or 4 pounds it is huge!! LOL The little ones are totally lost in the line-up....and showing can be stressful for a tiny or any size...my show boys were over 5 pounds and they always lost weight in the ring.
BUt I agree...a nice 4 to 5 pound male and 5 to 6 pound female...perfect!! LOL
If you already have a small pup, you can give it a try and see...but if you are setting out to buy one...try for at least 5 pounds. Remember what you learn will never be wasted.
