To be honest - I've been hearing Pantene is really great for bringing out the shine in a coat - (some show breeders use it) you may not need the CC systems yet - but if you decide to get it - why not email the company and ask them ? you can explain his coat and they can refer you to a product.
I don't know if that would help his hair if it's greasy looking - sounds like you may need a clarifying shampoo to start with....
