Do dogs eat as much as they want? I leave food and water for Lucy while I'm gone for work all day but she doesn't seem to be eating or drinking anything. There's usually only one pee spot on her pee pad for the 8 hrs. that I'm gone. She eats when I come home but it doesn't seem like she's eating enough. Am I worrying over nothing or should I feed her some soft food to make sure she's eating enough. My husband said if she's hungry then she'll eat, but I feel like she's not eating enough.
